How much does aged care cost?

What is a RAD vs a DAP?
A Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) is a lump sum that’s refunded when you leave. A Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) is the daily equivalent. You can pay as RAD, DAP, or a combination.

Services Australia assesses your income and assets to determine your contribution toward care costs. There are annual and lifetime caps on means-tested fees.
